Weekly breathwork is on pause right now

Starting October 2020, I’ll be taking a short break from offering weekly online breathwork sessions.

There may be a few sessions offered here and there in the coming months. You can find out about these by following me on Instagram, @modalitiesthatheal or send me an email to meg@modalitiesthatheal.com and I’ll make sure you are notified. If you’re already a regular breather or on my email list you’ll get email notifications automatically.

Why Practice Breathwork?

Breathwork can have some wonderful benefits. Pausing to breathe deeply is an incredibly powerful gift to give yourself.

We are offering these online sessions because we have experienced these effects in our lives:

IMG_1853.jpg
  • Stress management - Release tension and improve how your body handles stress.

  • A fresh perspective - Breathwork is a tool to help you become aware of deeply ingrained habits and gain insight into how you can change them.

  • Inner strength - Develop a feeling of connection to your innate ability to manage life with strength, resiliency, and trust in your inner guidance system.

  • Clarity & creativity - Allow your busy mind to switch into brainstorm and curiosity mode and see what ideas bubble to the surface.

  • Emotional healing - Breathwork can help bring challenging and painful emotions up to the surface where you can deal with them.

The best part about breathwork: There’s no need to suspend belief or take any of this on faith. Practice and observe the impact that deeper breathing will have for you.

How it Works

Our total setup and breathing time is roughly 90 minutes. After that, you may decide to stay, share, and listen or leave early if you’d like.

We will go into more detail about the breathing technique and what to expect from the experience at the beginning of the session. You will have a chance to ask questions. Once everyone is confident with the process we will begin.

The breathing portion is 50 minutes. It is done laying on your back on a bed or a yoga mat. Wearing an eye mask enhances the experience and we highly recommend that you use one (or create a makeshift).

A musical journey will guide you through the session. This is an important part of the experience and the higher quality earphones you have the better. You can play music out loud if you like, however, it’s nice to have the music loud. You will want to have a quality wi-fi connection to get the best sound quality.

After the session, there will be a chance to share your experience and ask questions.

I’m writing this immediately after a workshop with Meg. I feel like I touched something so deep and fearful that I had not been aware of and was probably too afraid to look at. Today, I felt safe enough to do it. Now that it’s over I have so much clarity and a deeper understanding of the elements of my life.
